Little Amigos Preschool is a home-based program for children ages 3-5 years. We are happy to offer a pay-as-you-go option for preschool in our 2013-2014 academic year. Pay ONLY for the classes your child attends ($15/class) and your child may attend as often or seldom as you choose.

CLASS INFORMATION

Tuesdays - 9am to 11am - $15 per class attended

CURRICULUM

Each week a letter of the alphabet and a number will be the central themes. Students will work on letter recognition, phonetics and writing. They will also practice number recognition and counting.

Tuesdays

Class time includes:
Welcome
Story reading in circle time
Letter of the week – intro
Activities focusing on letter of the week
Snack & short recess
Activities focusing on number of the week
Multi-media activity
Show-n-tell

SUMMER CAMP 2013

We are excited to offer a Preschool Summer Camp this summer. Our Little Amigos will do hands-on activities and crafts, enjoy reviewing their letters and numbers with songs, stories, and interactive play. And, we'll finish off our camp with a cool water activity.

Here are the details:

• July 8-10, 2013 - 9am - 12pm each day - 3 hrs. (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)
• $60 for the 3-Day Summer Camp.
  Discount available for siblings - 1st child $60, 2nd child $50.
• Ages 3-5 yrs old
  Some age exceptions may be allowed with instructor approval.
• Snacks
  A small snack will be provided each day. Please notify instructor of any food allergies or sensitivities.

Dear Little Amigos Families,

It's hard to believe that we're at the end of the school year already. We have had such a fun year, and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with your sweet children every Tuesday.

Reminders:

--> GRADUATION - Tues., May 14th @ 9am - My house
Bring your child's family and friends for a graduation ceremony and treats.
(Note: This will be the last time we meet this semester. May invoices will be
passed out this day. Payments are due by June 10th and may be
mailed or dropped off.)

--> SUMMER CAMP - June 8th - 10th - M, T, W - 9am to 12pm
There are still spaces available for our Little Amigos Summer Camp.
You can download the Summer Camp Information packet and Registration Form to sign up your child.

--> FALL 2013 REGISTRATION - We still have spots open in both the 1-Day (Tues)
class and the 2-Day (Tues, Thurs) class. You can download the Curriculum Information
packet and Registration Form to enroll your child for Fall semester.

--> APRIL INVOICES - I sent home paper copies of April's invoices and will also send
electronic copies through e-mail. Payments are due May 10th.

Tues, April 23rd - Letter X

Looks like Jack Frost is at it again, and we'll have another snowy preschool day tomorrow. As long as Brighton School District is in session, we will be, too. Tomorrow we're learning the letter 'X'. Please send your child with something relating to the letter 'X' for show-n-tell.

We only have 3 classes left until our graduation day on May 14th. Hard to believe. Please keep all of the following in mind as we wind down our semester:

* GRADUATION - Tues., May 14th @ 9am - My house
We will have a special graduation ceremony and a presentation for parents and family.
The children will show off some of what they've learned and light refreshments will be served.

* ASSESSMENTS - We will be doing assessments in the next few weeks and will evaluate each child's progress. The results will be given to parents on Graduation Day.

* FALL REGISTRATION - We are still accepting registrations for fall semester. I have 12 spots and seem to be filling up quickly. If you already know that your child is returning to Little Amigos, go ahead and get them registered. I'm taking returning students first, then will take siblings, and finally will fill spots with new students (spread the word!)

* SUMMER CAMP - July 8th-July 10th (M-W) - 9am-12pm - $60
Little Amigos will be doing a 3-day summer camp this year! I am very excited about offering this camp. We will meet Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 8am-12pm and will have:
- Hands-on crafts & activities
- Story time
- Letters & numbers fun
- Light Snack
- Water activity on the last day (Wed.)

Tuesday, March 12th - Letter T

A few reminders and announcements for preschool:

- Our letter this week is "T". Please send your child to class with something "T" for show-n-tell.

- Preschool this week will be at Brindi Muirbrook's house again. Once again, we thank her for her generosity in letting us use her home for the month of March. Class will be held at her home for the next 2 weeks (3/12 and 3/19).

- February's tuition payments are due this Tuesday. I will have the Tuition Payments box at the front table.

- There will be NO class on March 26th and April 2nd. When we begin classes again on April 9th, it will be at our new home.

PRESCHOOL 2013-2014
- Information packets for preschool next year, 2013-2014, will go out on Tues. 3/19. I will also post the packets on the website (http://www.littleamigospreschool.com).
Registration forms will be included.

We are happy to provide 2 different preschool options for next year:

• 1 DAY - Tuesdays 9-11AM - Pay as you go $15/class attended
  
• 2 DAYS - Tuesdays 9-11AM and Thursdays 9-11AM - Tuition $100/month

Tuesday, Feb. 12th - Letter Q AND Important Reminders

The weeks are flying by, and we're already to Valentine's Day. This week we
are learning the letter 'Q' and continuing our numbers review. It has been so fun
to see how well the kids are doing with their numbers and letters. I am very proud of them.

We will be doing a "Queen of Hearts" theme this Tuesday and making our own
Valentine's hearts to take home. If you'd like to send Valentines to class with your child, please keep in mind there are 10 students in our class. For a list of names, please send me an e-mail or text.

REMINDERS:

• Next week (Tues 2/19) is our last class for February AND our last class at our current address (Nucla St.) NO CLASS ON TUES. 2/26!
  
  
• March's classes will be held at Brindi Muirbrook's house - (contact me for address). So far we plan on meeting at Miss Brindi's -
  Tues. 3/5 @ 9am AND Tues. 3/12 @ 9am.
  More info to come.
  
  
• In April we should be in our new house in Reunion (Southlawn). I am hoping to have preschool up and running within our first week in the house. I will keep everyone informed of the schedule, and I appreciate your patience during our transition. The good news is that we'll be all settled in for next year!
  
  
• January's tuition payments are due. If you've already paid, please disregard.
