Wow! The time is flying. We're already into October and before we know it Halloween will be here. A few reminders for this month:
- Tuition invoices for September were sent out last week. Payment is due by Oct. 10th next Wednesday. If you didn't receive an invoice, please contact me.
- We will continue with our letters and numbers this week - Letter E and Number 5
- Tues., Oct. 30th we will have a Halloween parade during the last 15 minutes of class. Please send your child to class in costume, and we will have a small celebration in class. At 10:45am parents are invited to come and watch our Halloween mini-parade from my house to the park around the corner.
- I would love to have 1 or 2 parent volunteers for the in-class portion of our Halloween celebration. We will do some learning activites, read a story, make a craft and have some spooky snacks.
- We will also need some items donated for the party. I will prepare a sign-up sheet and have it available next week (10/9).
Thank you so much for the support you give to your Little Amigos learners. It's amazing to see their progress in class.

Tuesday Sept. 25 - Letter D, Number 4
Ready for another week? This Tuesday we'll be learning all about the letter D, the number 4 and los colores (colors). Please send your child with something that starts with the letter D for show-n-tell. We're having a great time getting familiar with our letters and numbers!
Also, it is the end of our first month and I will be sending home invoices. At the end of each month I will calculate tuition based on the number of classes your child attended. If you see any discrepancies on your invoice, please let me know. I will also email out invoices to anyone who doesn't receive a paper copy. Payments are due by October 10th!
Muchas gracias,
Miss Kim

Tuesday, Sept. 18th - Letter C, Number 3
This coming Tuesday we will be focusing on the letter 'C' and the number 3. Please remember to send your Little Amigo with an item for show-n-tell that relates to the letter C. It really helps the children understand that many items in their everyday lives start with the letter of the week.
Our book during Circle Time will be "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle and we have a fun video to watch that goes with the book. Finally, our Spanish curriculum continues this week focusing on families and the words we use to talk about our loved ones - mamá, papá, hermano (brother), hermana (sister), bebé (baby), etc.
Thank you for sharing your Little Amigos with me. As always, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
¡Hasta pronto!
Miss Kim

Tuesday, Sept. 11th - Letter B, Number 2
We had a great first day of preschool! All of the Little Amigos settled in nicely and learned about the days of the week, the letter A, the number 1, and we practiced our Spanish greetings: ¡Hola! ¿Cómo estás?
Our class also picked the Top Banana for the day. Each week a student will be chosen to be the special class leader or Top Banana for the day. They get to sit in the special chair, be at the front of the line, and choose where to sit for snack. At the end of class we did our letter A show-n-tell.
Next Tuesday (9/11) we will learn the letter B, the number 2, and All About Me (Yo Soy...) in Spanish. Remember to send your little one with something for show-n-tell that starts with 'B'.
